Incorporated in Bordeaux in 1895, our company was initially focused on Marine Insurance in connection with maritime and commercial exchanges with the former French colonies, imports of Algerian wine, and foreign trade between Portugal and its own colonies. Following the declarations of independence, which could impact its operations and the deregulation of the profession of sworn marine insurance brokers, Patrick and Jacques Allard decided in 1964 to acquire Filhet, a company specialised in corporate risks renamed Filhet Allard & Cie. In the seventies, the company had a total staff of 15 employees. Today Franck, Stéphane, Henry and Grégory Allard are at the head of a Group structured around centres of excellence, located in the main French cities, but also abroad (Spain, Switzerland, Ivory Coast and Buenos Aires).
The Group’s strategy is to meet with any type of corporate insurance needs. In each subsidiary, the clients have access to specialised teams which support them according to their requirements and prepare customised solutions as regards marine insurance, property and liability risks, employee benefits, credit and factoring, affinity programs and Risk management. It thus becomes the clients’ Risk Manager or their outsourced Risk department.
Filhet-Allard is a group with an ideal size and a strong family culture. Our employees are the vital component of our organisation. The combination of skills and know-how in a motivating environment makes it possible to satisfy clients on a day-to-day basis. Proximity management and a real team spirit attract the most excellent talents to the Group.
In October 2011, the Filhet-Allard Group became a member of the BrokersLink international network. It is a strategic step forward in its organisation to respond to its clients’ international development.
Our Group has great ambitions for the future. Its independence and solid ownership guarantee the success of its long-term strategy. Its economic and commercial performance responds to financial challenges particularly those associated with investment of human, regulatory and technological nature.
